Private Residence
A sanctuary that dissolves the boundary between architecture and the Balinese landscape.
House SJ was conceived as a study in restraint, a private residence where materiality, precision, and craft become a single continuous gesture. The architecture draws from two distinct worlds: the volcanic stone and reclaimed teak of Bali's building tradition, and the cool veined surfaces of imported Italian marble. Together they create an interior language that feels both rooted and refined.
Constructed with close attention to proportion and detail, every threshold, every axis, every garden path was designed to slow the rhythm of arrival, to let those who come here truly stop.
Volcanic Stone Terracing
Carved from Balinese paras stone, the walls breathe with the tropical climate — cool to the touch even at noon.
South-Facing Pool Axis
The infinity pool aligns precisely with the rice field horizon at sunset, framing a view that changes with each season.
Teak & Marble Interiors
A material palette selected to age beautifully in Bali's humid warmth, growing richer with every season that passes.
